On Saturday, March 13, ISIS Productions, Conscious Cultivation and Brimstone Sounds presents Lutan Fyah (straight from Jamaica) backed by the Quinto Sol band, with Madgesdiq and selections by DJ Crown of Brimstone Sounds.
This will be Lutan Fyah's first appearance in Oregon; let's welcome him with open arms and listen to his powerful message of unity in these times of war.

A rootsy reggae singer with messages of unity, love and justice deeply embedded in his music, Lutan Fyah was born in the parish of St. Catherine, Jamaica, with music in his blood. With his grandfather running a sound system, artists such as Lieutenant Stitchie, Papa San, Lady G. and the legendary Dennis Brown would often visit the family home.
Fyah aspired to become a famous singer himself, but he also took his soccer playing seriously and joined a professional team before singer Jah Mason came along in 2001 and offered Fyah the support slot on his worldwide tour. Three years later he made his full-length debut with Dem No Know Demself on the Minor7Flat5 label. Time and Place on the Lustre Kings label followed in 2005. A year later he released two albums, Phantom War on Greensleeves and Healthy Lifestyle on VP.
Lutan Fyah has released many more albums since, and a slew of singles.
Madgesdiq is a humble but confident emcee/poet who once electrified fans as a college basketball star at both Georgetown University and the University of Oregon. Since transformed, he now uses his gift of speech and heartfelt lyrics to uplift and inspire audiences through the medium of arts and entertainment.
In November 2002 Madgesdiq independently released his first LP, fittingly titled The Rebirth. Dreamz, the lead single off of the album, climbed to the #1 slot on several college hip hop radio stations. He then went on to sign with an up and coming label out of Portland and released his second, self titled album, Madgesdiq, featuring such songs as "Madgesdiqly" and "Poetic Justice".

Brimstone Sounds brings that heat. Live mix every time; no gimmicks, no pretense. DJ Crown blazes the freshest and finest in reggae music; new joints, the classics, the obscure and the rarities.
We play with the people; for the people.
DJ Crown spends vast amounts of time in the studio each year recording reggae mixtapes by the name of Big Tunes -- putting out at least three reggae mixtapes a year over the past five years.
The Revolution Will Be Amplified.
There will also be a live art exhibit featuring Ras Terms (Oakland, CA.) and Note 1 (Zulu Kings), a gem and mineral showcase, and other vendors on site.
Doors open at 8:00 pm and the show starts at 9:00. Tickets are $15 in advance (available at the WOW Hall box office) and $17 at the door.
