The Springfield Museum is situated in historic downtown Springfield, amid cafes and antique and specialty shops. Large colorful murals grace nearby buildings. The Museum is housed in the 1911 Oregon Power Company transformer station. Because of its unique architecture and its important role in the early utility industry, the building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
