Ferguson Ridge is a small community ski resort operated by the Eagle Cap Ski Club (an all-volunteer non-profit group).

Located 7.5 miles southeast of Joseph, Oregon in the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest, the locals call the ski area "Fergi."

It's important to make sure the mountain is open before heading out.
Call 541 541-398-1167 or drive by the A-frame signs that say "FERGI'S OPEN."

A valid Sno-Park pass is required for all vehicles to enter the area. Contact the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles or Outlaw Motor Sports or US Forest Service to purchase.

Hours of Operation:

10AM-4PM, weekends and holidays, snow conditions dependent.

Area Description:

  • Lifts: 1 T-bar & 1 rope-tow
  • Trails: 8 trails
  • Elevation at base: approx. 5200', 1585m
  • Elevation gain: approximately 640',195m from base to top
  • Nordic Trails accessible from Fergi
  • No water available at ski area.

Ferguson Ridge Ski Area accepts only cash or checks.  No credit cards.

T-bar Tickets:

  • $15 (adult)
  • $10 (15 & under)
Eagle Cap Ski Club Lifetime Memberships:
  • Individual: $250 - Pay at once or over 5 years @ $50/yr
  • Family: $500 - Pay at once or over 5 years @ $100/yr
Membership Details:
One of the great aspects of Fergi is that it's a community-owned and volunteer-run ski area.  After payment has been made, sign up for 4 annual work days and ski for free each day.  Members who choose to by-pass working pay $10/day to ski.

  • Sports Corral (annual $21)

  • Joseph Hardware (annual $22)

(Regional Sno-Park Pass not required for Fergi)
