Because most, but not all concerts feature an opening act, please plan to arrive soon after doors open. Times may be subject to change.
Ticket pricing varies with performances.
The main floor is accessible to patrons using wheelchairs. If you need special accommodations, please call (541) 345-4442.
The McDonald Theatre is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is permitted directly outside of The Lounge.
When entering the McDonald Theatre building, one is immediately flooded with past memories of stage and screen performances because the 1928 building is loaded with historical memories and elements reflecting the days of yore.
This (comfortable, familiar yet exciting) feeling is one that the Kesey Family, who owns and operates the theatre, has worked hard to maintain. Their own childhood memories of past performances at The McDonald Theatre are very vivid. With an extensive background rich in both the arts and business, the Kesey Family combined the love of art with business savvy into a formation that manifests the new face of The McDonald Theatre.
Hence, The McDonald Theatre has evolved into a performing arts venue, rich in theatrical history with a desire to capture live artistic movements of the times.
In maintaining the historical ambiance of the theatre, an effort has been made to emphasize the importance of community involvement. The theatre creates a platform for artists of all ambitions, repertoires, and ages to be displayed.
Within a given week, one can attend a diverse spectrum of events, from mainstream reggae to a private wedding to a high school prom to a local children's stage performance. Non-profit organizations are encouraged to produce fundraising events, lectures, and presentations at the theatre, allowing The McDonald to generously give back to the community - a collection of diverse neighborhoods in and around the Eugene/Springfield area that has shown their continuous and kind support.
As downtown Eugene begins a revitalization campaign, The McDonald Theatre is proud to add a new piece of positive energy and vitality to the core downtown neighborhood. The influx of the public naturally spreads to other businesses and establishments in the area, benefiting all.
As the stage, screen, and live performances evolve with trends for the future, the McDonald Theatre is committed to providing a venue for the enhancement of the artistic arena.
