Family owned and operated, they have been producing Oregon Willamette Valley Chardonnay since 1983.
Houston Vineyards is located on the western base of Mount Pisgah. They are open for free tastings by appointment only (at the customer's convenience).
The vineyard opens to the general public on two special dates each year. These coincide with the Mushroom Festival and the Wildflower Festival held at Mt Pisgah Arboretum.

Our cooler than most mezzo-climate at the vineyard allows us to grow Chardonnay such that the delicate fruit and floral nuances can be fully retained without being “burned out” by excessive or prolonged summer heat. Not excessively alcoholic, each wine is styled to highlight subtleties one doesn’t taste when these varieties are grown in warmer climates.
Both our Chardonnays are very light with no wood or malo-lactic exposure. The Houston Vineyard label is a slightly sweet Chardonnay of green apple flavor laced with honey having a delicate apple blossom bouquet. Our Coast Fork label is similar but with a somewhat drier, more crisp finish. These wines are, in words, fresh and delicate.
